Rockstar Games will be ending support for GTA Online on Xbox 360 and PS3 soon in December 2021.
In the Rockstar’s support page, the company announced specifically that Grand Theft Auto 5, Max Payne 3, L.A Noire will not get support on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 after this December.
Termination of Support
The support will be terminated in two steps for convenience. Firstly, on September 16, 2021, Xbox 360, Shark Cash Cards, and PlayStation 3 will stop to be sold.
Later, on December 16, 2021, the servers of GTA Online will be shut down. With this, Rockstar Games Social Club will be out of service as well.
Some Bad News
Sadly, you can’t transfer your GTA Online characters, progress, and other assets from Xbox 360 and/or PlayStation 3 to another console or PC. Along with that, there is no refund for Shark Cards. Therefore, when the server gets out of service, everything will be lost. This is going to be an end of an era for all GTA lovers.
Some Good News
However, you will be able to play the single-player stories of these games without any issues. Just the online components and gaming won’t be accessible to anyone and everything else will remain the same.
“Have no impact on access to, or progress within, the Grand Theft Auto V story mode.”
