HP Envy x360 Laptop: Intel and AMD

Envy x360 series laptops are with certain updates including 15-inch and 17-inch models. In April 2020, HP launched Envy x360 laptops with Intel or AMD processors to choose from. HP is offering Intel 11th-gen Tiger Lake CPU or AMD Ryzen 5000U processors with the Envy x360. The bigger 17-inch Envy will have an upgraded powerful GPU to rock in.   

15-Inch Model

AMD Variant

Starting with the Envy x360 15, HP offers AMD Ryzen 5 5500U with 256GB NVMe SSD or AMD Ryzen 5700U along with 512GB NVMe SSD. Both variants offer 8GB DDR4 RAM clocked at 3200MHz, which is obviously upgradable. The Trackpad is 19% larger than the previous models. Trackpad resides in a more centered position than before. The display is 15.6-inch FHD, 1080p, IPS touchscreen-enabled, offering 250 nits brightness with 45% NTSC color gamut coverage. A 4k OLED panel can be configured here.

Intel Variant

While everything remains almost the same but the Intel version offers Wi-Fi 6. The Intel version of the 15-inch Envy offers a Core i7-1165G7 or Core i5-1135G7 to choose from. Choosing the Core i7 version will allow you to have 12GB DDR4-3200 RAM. 512GB PCIe storage and 32GB Intel Optane memory is there as well. Going for the Core i5, 8GB DDR4 RAM, 256GB NVMe SSD, and Thunderbolt 4 port with USB 4.0 will be there, which will transfer data around a speed of 40Gbps at best.

Features

The HP Envy x360 can be configured with the NVIDIA GeForce MX450 GPU. There are some cool features like AI noise cancellation on Intel models only. There are lighting adjustments for video calls, QuickDrop, Physical camera shutter security, a dedicated mic mute button, and also a fingerprint sensor. Natural Silver and Nightfall Black are the two main color variants to choose from. 

The Price is from $800 – $1050 based on the variants.

17-Inch Model

HP Envy 17, the big Envy brother, has better performance and design. Envy 17 comes with 11th-gen Intel Tiger Lake Core i7-1165G7, Updated NVIDIA GeForce MX450 GPU is also there. Like Envy 15 there is a 19% bigger and more centered touchpad. Envy 17 will offer you an FHD or 4K screen but not with any OLED panel. The screen size is 17.3 inches.

The hardware consists of 12GB DDR4-3200 non-user accessible RAM. 512GB PCIe SSD with a 32GB Intel Optane H10 memory. Anyone can choose 32GB RAM with 1TB PCIe storage. Envy 17 comes with all other features that Envy 17 has.
