Samsung Galaxy Note Series: Maybe No More

No Samsung Galaxy Note 21, Note 22, or N 21 is Coming Soon

Samsung Galaxy Note series is one of the most popular device lineups of Samsung. This particular series has a crazy fan base. However, Maybe Samsung decided not to continue with the Note series. Let’s find out –

Overview of Galaxy Notes

Samsung Galaxy Note devices are unique because of their functionality and S Pen compatibility. The Note is not just a device rather a companion of day-to-day life. You can use the device as you like.

With S Pen, the Note gives you more power of productivity. You can doodle or take handwritten notes anytime anywhere. S Pen adds several other functions like taking Screenshots, editing clips, taking hands-free selfies, and so on.

The Note devices are usually larger and elongated in size. It’s like a regular notepad but with the capabilities of doing more. This multi-purpose Galaxy Note series is one of a kind. There is a separate fan base of Samsung Note who all are obsessed with Notes.

Samsung’s Step

Over the years, Samsung tried to merge the Galaxy Note series with the Galaxy S series. They brought S Pen compatibility to Galaxy S21 Ultra. However, this move showed mixed feelings from the customer side. In 2021, Samsung decided to skip the Note series as there are chip shortage issues and a global health crisis.

Not to mention, the company launched S Series, Z Series devices with S Pen compatibility in 2021. Samsung didn’t mention anything about discontinuing the Note lineup up until now.

A new report is flooding the internet about the Samsung Note series. According to ETNews, Samsung excluded the entire Galaxy Note products from the annual smartphone production pipeline for 2022. Furthermore, production of previous Note i.e Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will be stopped this year.

It has been fifteen months since Galaxy Note 20 series came on the market. A report says that Samsung has 3.2 million units of the Note 20 series to meet the demand of Note fans for 2021. Not to mention, in 2022, there will be no further production of the Note lineup.

Samsung’s Perspective

As technology is dynamic, Samsung wants to increase the production of foldable devices. The company believes that foldable devices are getting better and can replace the Note lineup. S Pen compatibility on the foldable is nothing but Note devices with foldability.

Samsung sold 12.7 million and 9.7 million units of Galaxy Notes back in 2019 and 2020 respectively. The South Korean company wants to ship more than 13 million Galaxy Z devices in 2022. Thus discontinuing Galaxy Note can help them to gain the target.

The Note Future

As Samsung slowly but effectively decided, it is high time Note fans should look for a new focus. In the future, Galaxy S Ultra devices will get S Pen compatibility to create a Note-ish device to cover Galaxy Note, the base models. For example, Galaxy S21 Ultra is doing the job now.

Not to mention, there is the Galaxy Z Fold series which is currently the top of the line of Samsung’s smartphone production. The Galaxy Z Fold will serve you with S Pen functionality to cover Galaxy Note Ultra models. To make things more visible, Galaxy Z Fold 3 is an example of this.

Wrapping Up

It is anticipated that the rumor has potential. Even though Samsung didn’t say anything yet but there is a good chance of the Note series being abandoned. However, Necessity knows no law. There will be something that will replace truly the Notes someday. Stay tuned for more.
