Samsung S Pen Pro, the ultimate Samsung stylus was unveiled on August 11, 2021. Earlier in 2021, during the release of Galaxy S21 Ultra, Samsung promised to bring the ultimate Samsung stylus which happens to be the S Pen Pro.

Overview

Samsung is gonna launch the S Pro to add some additional functionalities to the S Pen compatible devices. Since the Note lineup is skipped this year, the company decided to make Galaxy Z Fold 3 a compatible device with this S Pen. This S Pen Pro can be very handy to the people who are taking notes every now and then and so on. If you have decided to get yourself an S Pen Pro, Here’s everything to know about it.

Dimension and Build

All the Galaxy Note devices had S Pen smaller in size just to fit in within the side of the Note. The S Pen Pro is an independent stylus with several functionalities thus Samsung decided to increase the size and dimension. This 14g stylus is bigger than a regular S Pen and can be attached magnetically to some devices. The build quality is pretty solid and never feels cheap even being made from high-quality plastic.

Specs

The main idea of S Pen Pro is to make this a universal Stylus. Galaxy Z Fold 3 has a special Wacom layer under the screen to offer proper stylus support that probably a good reason why you should remain with this stylus for your Z Fold 3.

Apart from that, S Pen Pro is going to be compatible with other Samsung devices that support stylus input. This device can operate with two different modes. Galaxy Note and Galaxy Tab have their own way to deal with S Pens, where Fold 3 features different technology to interact with the stylus, so will the future Folds. As a result, you can either choose to use it as the regular S Pen or S Pen for Fold devices.

Features

The S Pen Pro has a 0.7mm precision tip with 4,096 pressure points just like the Wacom Intuos graphics stylus offers. Artists and graphic designers are gonna love the S Pen Pro with such precise pressure inputs and control on the Galaxy Z Fold 3 while using. This stylus has been designed with refining finishings so that your device doesn’t experience any damage at all. The tip is also retractable as a result if you apply too much pressure, your device won’t be affected.

The S Pen Pro comes with Bluetooth connectivity as mentioned above, meaning you can connect your device with it. Upon connecting, you can access features like on-screen gestures, air gestures, and so on. Surprisingly, you can connect multiple devices at once and switch from one to another like the keyboard Samsung released earlier as well. Not to mention the S Pen Pro has internal memory which allows you to copy stuff from one device and paste that to another. Thus S Pen Pro can tackle all your productivity tasks easily and seamlessly. However, this stylus needs to be charged via a USB-C port at the back of it. Charging the stylus for 50mins can give you service for 16 days.

Price

Samsung S Pro is a productivity tool that can be used on several supporting devices. You can get Bluetooth capabilities, gesture support, and several other functionalities with this S Pen Pro. All these nifty features will cost around $99. The price is higher than the traditional S Pen but features make it a worthy purchase.

Release Date

Samsung S Pen Pro was announced in the Unpacked Event of August 2021, which will be available for sale on August 27, 2021.
