Xiaomi’s next foldable smartphone is now the hot topic just after three months of the release of Mi Mix Fold by the company. Reliable leak says that the second foldable smartphone of Xiaomi will be launched soon in the Q4 of 2021.
As the leak goes, the iteration of Xiaomi’s foldable will hit the market anytime within October, November, or December in 2021. When two reputable companies will release two major smartphone series in the same time period. As a result, Xiaomi’s second foldable smartphone is going to compete with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Google’s Pixel 6 lineup.
To have a strong position in the competition, Xiaomi seems not in a mood to compromise anything. The second Xiaomi foldable will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 chipset. There will be a 5,000mAh battery and a 108MP shooter as the main cam along with 5G compatibility.
Apart from that, Xiaomi is planning to improve the internal design and enhance the performance of the hinge mechanism. Good to know that, Xiaomi is working on the display. In the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold 2, there will be two displays for sure, but the inner panel might feature a 120Hz refresh rate.
The displays will be manufactured by Visionox, the company working with Honor on an upcoming foldable smartphone as well. It is expected that the next-gen Xiaomi fold will feature Ultra-thin glass-like Samsung and Google offer.
